Fall training and racing is finally here, and there are plenty of events for October. Kicking it off on 10/03 is the Destin Rodeo Run 5K, which starts at 8am at Clement Taylor Park on Calhoun Ave. Destin Community Center packet pick up times are 9/30, 4-6pm and 10/01 11am-1pm…..and also morning of the race at the park. We’ve had no word on The Cheerleader 5k race, so it will be removed.
The next race will be the Wicked Triple 10K, 5K and Half Marathon on 10/16 and 10/17. You can sign up for each race individually, or complete all three!! Late registration and packet pickup is 10/15, 4-6pm at Run With It. There’s one more race in October and that is the McGuire’s Halloween 5K/10K. It’s on 10/30; 9am start at McGuire’s in Destin. Keep a look out as we’ll be tweaking the website in the near future, hopefully to create better links to the races and training runs.
A quick look into November for a couple of race cancellations….first is the Veterans Day 5K, and secondly is the Timberlake Half Marathon and 5K.
We hope to have both races back on the schedule next year!!
